The People’s Democratic Party, Ondo State chapter has described the attack on the residence of an Ondo State-based journalist, Mr ‘Tosin Ajuwon as barbaric and condemnable.
While calling on the Commissioner of Police in the State, Bolaji Salami to fish out those behind the dastardly act, the party maintained that the perpetrators must be brought to book.
The residence of Mr Ajuwon who is also the Secretary of the NUJ Correspondents Chapel was burgled by suspected hoodlums who carted away vital documents and other valuables
The PDP in a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Kennedy Peretei, said journalists who are members of the fourth estate of the realm must be able to perform their duties without being attacked and traumatised in this senseless manner.
Earlier, the National Union of Journalists, Ondo State Council had sympathised with Mr Ajuwon over the incident and advised security operatives to beef up security around the journalist and other media professionals in Ondo State to prevent any sad happening.
