The former governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has been called out for sanctions by Dr. Pedro Obaseki, a leader in the Peoples Democratic Party and the Director of Research and Documentation for the PDP’s Presidential Campaign Council.
Obaseki claims that Wike is a traitor who was one of five governors who engaged in a string of anti-PDP actions leading up to the presidential election on February 25.
Obaseki made his comments in a statement on Tuesday.

In it, they say, “Wike has crossed the red line and now, he should be ready. He has come out and asked for the expulsion of the number one leader of the party, the presidential flagbearer of the party, and the recipient of the mandate of the Nigerian people as declared in INEC’s submission that we won 21 states.”
Because we are coming at him like a tonne of bricks, he has the resources to mount a counterattack.
He’s let loose the hounds of war, and we’re not going to sit here and let him bully the party and the vast majority of Nigerians into submission the way he bullied the Rivers people for eight years. That won’t cut it anymore.
Obaseki also dared Wike to make public his financial records before and after he became governor of Rivers state for a total of eight years.
As Obaseki pointed out, Wike is a member of the APC and currently serves as a minister in an APC administration. Wike ran an openly anti-PDP campaign. The truth is that we can tell a person’s character by the actions they take. Wike is not a member of the PDP in any meaningful sense.
In order to prevent his expulsion from the PDP, former Rivers State governor and current PDP member Barrister Nyesom Wike sought a court injunction a few months before the election.
Why would he have done that if he was invincible and towered above the entire party machine? Wike is Satan’s lieutenant, whether we like it or not.
Perhaps that’s what dampened the enthusiasm of party bosses to get things done. Not everyone is a hawk like Wike, therefore let’s give him a chance to change his mind because many of them are doves-men of peace. The PDP is not a thug party.
