The Peoples Democratic Party Governors Forum has voiced its trust in the Supreme Court’s ability to ensure justice in the cases involving the removal of Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State and his Zamfara State counterpart, Dauda Lawal.
Following the Appeal Court’s decision to oust Mutfwang and Lawal due to electoral infractions, the forum characterized the appellate court’s judgments as temporary setbacks.
This sentiment was conveyed in a communiqué issued after a forum meeting held in Abuja on Thursday.

The communiqué stated, “The meeting reviewed the recent judgments of the Court of Appeal concerning governors of various states and noted the mixed outcomes.
As a forum, we once again re-state our overall confidence in the judiciary to do justice. We believe that the Supreme Court will do justice in the cases where we recorded temporary setbacks like Zamfara and Plateau States.”
