The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum has announced that it is reviewing the outcome of the Ondo State governorship election, following a meeting in Jos, Plateau State, on Saturday.
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) emerged victorious in the election held last weekend.
In a resolution issued after the meeting, PDP governors accused the APC of manipulating the election, claiming that the results were tampered with, including allegations of vote-buying.

Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum and Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, addressed the press, stating that the party is still examining the documents related to the Ondo election.
“We are still examining the documents on the Ondo elections where the APC manipulated results after openly buying votes,” he said.
The governors also expressed concerns about the integrity of the election process, calling for action from the judiciary to protect Nigerian democracy.
They urged the National Assembly to review the country’s electoral laws to prevent future sabotage of the people’s will.
The Forum also raised concerns over the recent governorship election in Edo State, which they described as a “rape of democracy.”
The PDP governors claimed that their candidate, Asue Ighodalo, had won the election but accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of manipulating the results in favor of the APC candidate.
