The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship Screening Committee for Edo State has successfully cleared all ten aspirants who appeared before it on Monday.
Eight of the aspirants received their clearance certificates from the PDP National Organizing Secretary, Umar Bature, at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja on Tuesday.
Confirming the successful clearance, Umar Bature stated that “all ten aspirants were cleared.”

However, one aspirant, Balogun Sunday, who had paid N5 million for the expression of interest form, did not participate in the screening as he did not purchase the nomination forms.
The ten aspirants cleared by the committee are:
1. Hon. OMOSEDE Igbenedion
2. ANSLEM U. OJEZUA ESQ.
3. HON. FELIX E. AKHABUE
4. ASUERINME IGHODALO
5. HON. COMRADE PHILIP SHAIBU
6. ARTHUR ESENE
7. OMOREGIE OGBEDIE IHAMA
8. AMB. PROF. MARTIN UHOMOIBH
9. OSARO OSAZE ONAIWU
10. UMORU ADIZETU HADIZAT
The clearance of these aspirants marks a significant step in the PDP’s preparations for the upcoming governorship election in Edo State.
