The National Working Committee, NWC, of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has suspended four top officials of the party, including the National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, for one month.
Also suspended are the National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade (SAN); Deputy Legal Adviser, Okechukwu Osuoha; and National Organizing Secretary, Umaru Bature.
Their suspension follows a Federal High Court ruling which stopped the party’s planned national convention.

Announcing the decision on Saturday at Legacy House, Abuja, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, said the action was taken after an emergency NWC meeting.
“The NWC, in line with the party’s constitution, came to the following conclusion: the National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade, SAN; Deputy Legal Adviser, Okechukwu Osuoha; National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu; and National Organizing Secretary have been suspended for one month and referred to the PDP Disciplinary Committee,” Ologunagba stated.
He added that the suspension was based on recommendations linked to their roles in the legal matters that led to the stoppage of the convention.
