In the face of ongoing economic challenges in Nigeria, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) youth wing has called on President Bola Tinubu to seek guidance from former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan on how to move the country forward.
The youth wing emphasized the need for a leader capable of steering Nigeria towards economic recovery, citing what they perceive as Tinubu’s failure in this regard.
Usman Okai Austin, the National Coordinator of PDP Youths Frontier, stated in a signed statement that former President Muhammadu Buhari spent eight years in office blaming Jonathan and the PDP.

Okai further noted that Tinubu and his team are now following a similar pattern, blaming the APC government under Buhari.
Okai emphasized the importance of setting aside differences within the All Progressives Congress (APC) to focus on improving the well-being of Nigerians.
He also criticized Tinubu’s role in Lagos State’s development, suggesting that it benefited more from its strategic location and its status as the former Federal Capital Territory.
Additionally, Okai criticized the APC for relying on propaganda and highlighted what he sees as the failure of the president’s economic policies to address modern challenges facing the country.
Okai argued that Nigerians are facing economic hardships, leading to school dropouts and soaring prices of goods and services, which has resulted in the depreciation of the Naira.
In conclusion, Okai stated that in the midst of economic and security crises, the administration appears confused.
He called on Tinubu, whom he considered the best within the APC, to take responsibility for his administration’s failures instead of resorting to blame games.
He expressed the belief that the APC is not the better option for the country, given the current hardships faced by Nigerians.
