Pepe Still Needs To Be Decisive – Arteta

Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has come out to say that Nicolas Pepe is finally performing according to expectations.

This is coming after the African shined in their recent 2-1 win at Sheffield United in the FA Cup.

According to Arteta, he really likes the former Lille forward and he is super excited about what he is bringing to the team.

He added that he is a player with incredible potential but he still needs to work on his decisions on the pitch.

His words, “I’m very excited about what he’s bringing to the team,”

“I think he has made a click, I think he realises what he needs to do for the team as well when we don’t have the ball.

“I’m so pleased today, if you see his defensive action it’s incredible what he was doing, and then with the ball he gives us the creativity, the flair that big teams need. He’s always unpredictable when he has the ball. He is going in the right direction.”

“I really like him. From the past, I didn’t know him personally but I think he is a player with incredible potential, but he needs to be decisive in every game.

“He needs to take care of moments in the game when he disconnects himself a little bit and he can’t do that. I will be very persistent with him to try and change that because if he is at his best he is a player who can make the difference for the team.”
