After the anti-corruption agency in Pakistan failed to present substantial evidence against the prime minister and his family members, an accountability court in Pakistan acquitted them on Thursday in a multi-million dollar money laundering case.
A court official confirmed to PTI that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, his wife Nusrat, their son Hamza, and their daughter Javaria were cleared of all charges in the PKR 7 billion money laundering case filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in 2020.
The official stated that the court acquitted the premier and his family members because the NAB did not present sufficient evidence linking them to the laundering of millions of dollars overseas, particularly to the United Kingdom.

However, according to the official, the court has proclaimed the second daughter of the prime, Rabia Imran, an offender and issued an arrest order for her.
Since Rabia’s identification, she had fled to the United Kingdom.
