    Police Arrest Six Suspected Vandals In Ogun

    Six suspected vandals have been arrested at the Oteyi area of Ibogun in the Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State, police authorities confirmed the incident on Sunday.

    The police spokesman in the state, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi identified the suspects as Taiwo Ismaila, Egbekunle Abiodun, Abdullah Sanni, Nuru Ibrahim, Wasiu Aweda and Babatunde Sikiru.

    He said they nabbed following information received by the Divisional Police officer Ibogun division that vandals were removing some rods along the rail line.

    “Upon the information, the DPO, CSP Samuel Oladele led his men to the scene where the six suspects were promptly apprehended,” he said via a statement.

    Items allegedly recovered from them are; 27 rail iron rods, 2 burning touches with the hose, 6 long cylinders, 3 short cylinders and one Volvo Truck with registration number SMK 61 XY.

    The Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun, ordered the transfer of the suspects to state criminal investigation and intelligence department for further investigation and diligent prosecution.
