Zone 16 of the Nigerian Police Force Headquarters has a new Assistant Inspector General (AIG) in AIG Paul Ojeka Odama. Zone 16 is located in Yenagoa.
CSP Ikwo Kevin Lafieghe, the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer (ZPPRO), made the announcement on Friday in Yenagoa.
According to Lafieghe, AIG Idrisu Dabban Dauda recently retired, and a new captain of Zone 16 has taken over.
After AIG Idrisu Dabban Dauda retired, the announcement added, “This is to bring to the notice of the public that the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has appointed AIG Paul Ojeka Odama, to take over the responsibilities of leadership of the zone.”
“The new AIG who originates from Yala LGA of Cross River State, was commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet ASP, Course 16, in 1990.
The Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria awarded him a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, and the University of Calabar awarded him a Master of Business Administration. Also, he has a C.A. designation.
“The AIG has served in various Departments of the Nigeria Police Force and globally. He participated in international missions to Monrovia, Liberia, and East Timor, Indonesia, on behalf of the United Nations.
The Kwara State Police Commissioner’s Office and the Lagos Police Maritime Unit both had a hand in his impressive resume. He was the AIG in Zone 11 (Osogbo) until he was transferred to the Zone 16 headquarters.
Because of this, “the Zonal headquarters solicit the cooperation and support of the good people of Bayelsa and Rivers States,” so that he might use his “vast wealth of experience in Policing.”
