Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, has emphasized that politics should not breed enmity but foster collaboration for the common good.
Governor Nwifuru made this remark on Monday during an empowerment programme in Ishiagu, Ivo Local Government Area, organized by Hon. Nkemkanma Kama, the Labour Party (LP) legislator representing Ohaozara/Onicha/Ivo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
The governor explained his presence at the event, despite political differences, as a demonstration of his belief in unity and teamwork for the state’s progress.

“Kama is supposed to be my enemy as he belongs to another party, but he has turned out to be my friend,” Nwifuru said. “After elections come governance.
That is why I came with leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, including its chairman.”
He commended Hon. Kama for aligning with this collaborative ideology by supporting his administration’s efforts.
In his response, Kama expressed gratitude to Governor Nwifuru and other state leaders for their attendance and support.
He described the governor as a brother and friend who has embraced inclusiveness in governance.
“I also thank the leadership of the House of Representatives and stakeholders of the constituency, whose selflessness and commitment reflect the communal spirit in us,” Kama said.
The event highlighted the importance of cooperation between political parties for the benefit of the state and its citizens.
