Ethiopia coach – Sewnet Bishaw:
“It is disappointing end to what was a much improved performance from our game against Libya. We did everything but score and l just do not know what to say, what can a coach do in the situation? I cannot go on the field and score the goals but we just have to keep believing that the players are learning and will gain experience and become batter players in future. To the neutrals it was an entertaining match with everything but we came into this tournament ready to do well and be competitive, it is unfortunate that we won’t stay in CHAN beyond our last group game against Ghana but we are determined to go out on a high note”
Congo coach – Sebastien Migne:
“At half time l told my players that even though we had had three good chances to score, we were very lucky to still be at 0-0. We did not play well at all in that first half and l had to make necessary tactical changes and point out our mistakes to check the Ethiopians’ dominance and threats. It seemed to work as we limited their persistent attacks and launched our own attacks. It is good to win because victory brings mental strength and increase self-belief something this team needs. We stand a good chance of qualifying now and although Libya is a very good youthful side we go out looking for victory.”
