“It is a joy to have met our target which go beyond the group stage of CHAN. Tonight’s game was tactical and we needed to play in a certain way and contain the Ethiopians who we knew would be more offensive. We had a game plan and it was only when we had control of the game that we were to execute this plan hence you saw what was a conservative approach from the team. This team main achievement so far has been the victory in WAFU last month and now reaching the quarter- finals becomes yet another achievement. We will not put ourselves under pressure but now go on and push as far as we can go. I am happy that we won Group C and stay here in Mangaung, it should serve our cause well in this knock out phase.”

“Unfortunately our problems with scoring have not got any better and as you saw we tried hard but again failed to hit the target. We have some problems defensively too but without our proven goal scorers we would always struggle.
