President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after attending the 37th Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union Heads of State and Government in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
President Tinubu departed Abuja, Nigeria, on February 14 for the Summit and arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Monday at about 04:00 pm local time.
He was warmly received by top government officials, including his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; and the Minister of State for Defense, Bello Matawalle.

The President’s return comes amidst protests in various parts of the country over the prevailing economic hardships faced by citizens.
Angry Nigerians had earlier blocked major roads in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, and Otukpo, Benue State, demanding urgent government action to alleviate their plight.
