Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president of Nigeria, has been elected as the organization’s new chairman.
At the 63rd Ordinary Session of the Authority of ECOWAS Heads of State and Government, which was held in Guinea-Bissau, he was chosen to serve as chair.
Tinubu, who was overjoyed, promised to take democracy seriously and noted that, despite its challenges, it is still the finest form of government.
