President Bola Tinubu has pledged his administration’s full support to the 36 state governors in their efforts to eradicate hunger and alleviate economic hardship across the country.
He made this commitment while inaugurating tractors and other agricultural equipment in Minna, the capital of Niger State.
Acknowledging the challenges faced by Nigerians as a result of current policies, President Tinubu expressed optimism, stating, “these challenges are surmountable in due course.”

President Tinubu urged state governors to collaborate and provide necessary support for cattle rearing and livestock farming, emphasizing the importance of a peaceful environment for agricultural activities.
In his address, Governor Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger State announced that the state had secured $20 million from foreign partners to cultivate 1 million hectares of land, aiming to produce 50 million metric tons of assorted grains annually.
This initiative is expected to generate N500 billion yearly within seven years and create over one million direct and indirect jobs for youths and women in the state.
Governor Bago also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to combating banditry and other crimes.
He assured that all forest hideouts used by criminals would be cultivated to deny them safe havens in the state.
