Mary Peter-Odili, a former Supreme Court justice, has denied pulling strings to have President Bola Tinubu favored by the Presidential Election Tribunal.
She refuted any attempt to influence the judges hearing the presidential election case in Tinubu’s favor.
Mary-Odili was responding to a report that said she was “negotiating a pathway for President Bola Tinubu” and that “she meets with the Supreme Court justices and the Appeal Court on a regular basis in that regard.”

The retired judge denounced the accusation, calling it dishonest and vicious.
Felix Enebeli, the retiring justice’s media assistant, made a statement in which she argued that the accusations were meant to damage her name and integrity.
As per the statement, retired Justice Mary Ukaego Peter-Odili has been the target of a publication that has been making the rounds on social media. The author, Jackson Ude, has maliciously and falsely claimed, among other things, that the esteemed jurist is “currently negotiating a pathway for Bola Tinubu” and that “she meets regularly with Appeal and Supreme courts” in that regard.
“We assert that the publication is malicious, untrue, mischievous, and a calculated attempt to damage the integrity and good name of her lordship. We refute every claim contained in it.
“We make no mention of the publication’s potential to incite public opposition to her lordship on a matter of great national significance.”
