ATLANTA, GA–(Marketwired – August 30, 2015) – Aegex Technologies, LLC, developer of intrinsically safe mobility solutions, has opened an office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to provide Windows 10 universally certified industrial tablets for hazardous locations in the Middle East and Africa.

Aegex 10.1-inch tablets are to be certified intrinsically safe for ATEX Zone 1, IECEx Zone 1 and UL C1D1, as well as enterprise-class rugged, for global use in the world’s most explosive environments. Oil and gas, petrochemical, public safety and utilities markets are common sites of hazardous location environments, where standard telecommunications equipment cannot be used because it presents an explosion risk. Aegex’s intrinsically safe devices, which are incapable of producing a spark sufficient to ignite an explosion, will be offered through the new Dubai office to HazLoc companies in the region, facilitating full IoT connectivity for improved efficiency and productivity.

“Dubai is an ideal center for Aegex to reach out to its customers who have hazardous location operations in the Middle East and Africa,” said Timothy Cox, Aegex’s MEA regional sales director. “Especially with the concentration of oil and gas industries in this region, Aegex intrinsically safe devices and solutions will undoubtedly become indispensable for companies operating HazLoc environments here.”
