“We have a lot of banana in Boki, Ikom, Obanlikwu and Etung”.
“We have oranges in Bekwarra and Vandeykia in neighboring Benue State. So the best way to go is for the government of Cross River State to venture into producing fruit juice”.
Prince Abi stressed that the government must make good use of the opportunity at hand by urgently building a fruit juice processing factory in Cross River State.
“Travelling through Vandeykia, Adikpo and down to Markudi you will see oranges and mangoes that are wasting. The government of Cross River State must make good use of this opportunity.
The government also has to encourage farmers to into farming of oranges, pineapple, cashew, mango and other fruits that can be used in producing fruit juice.
There is no better time than now if we must Industrialize our state. I would also suggest that the factory be located in Cross River North due to easy accessibility to this products”.
He stated that jobs would be created with the factory and it will boost the income of the farmers and that the time is now to Industrialize the State through building a fruit processing factory in the State.
“Job would created for our youths, women and more income for our farmers.
“The time is now to Industrialize Cross River State through building a fruit processing factory in the state”.
