If the information reaching us is anything to go by, Fuji musician, Abass Akande commonly known as Obesere could land himself in another round of trouble.
The Ibadan, Oyo State-born musician, who was once enmeshed in a rape controversy, is reportedly being accused by a music marketer and promoter, Taofeek Bello Abefe, the owner of Solid Worth Entertainment, of an alleged breach of contract.
We gathered that Taofeek had approached Obesere to record a pop album for him which the latter agreed.
It was alleged that the agreement between the duo was for the promoter to release the video of the songs on the album on a CD.
Having invested a lot on the project, the marketer is allegedly angry with the ‘Apple Juice’ singer, whom he accused of leaking the video of his new song, ‘Ebelesua’ which featured Olamide on YouTube as against their agreement.
The marketer has reportedly threatened to file a lawsuit against the prolific fuji musician.
Obesere’s publicist, Gbolahan Adetayo confirmed the report saying, ‘yes the story is true, but Obesere knows nothing about how the video got on YouTube. Obesere wasn’t the person dealing with the video director, he was only on set with Olamide just to shoot the video and that’s all.’
‘We are investigating how it got on YouTube. We will resolve the issue amicably,’ he added.
