The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has called for a public audit and full accountability of funds accrued to the Taraba State Government.
In a statement on Sunday, the party’s Caretaker Committee Chairman in the state, Idris Tantano, lamented the continued suffering of Taraba residents due to inadequate infrastructure, poor healthcare, and limited economic opportunities.
Tantano accused the current administration of mismanaging state resources, alleging that billions of naira were spent on luxury vehicles for the elite instead of attracting investors and creating jobs.

“The procurement of JAC Jeeps presented a perfect opportunity for the state to negotiate with investors to establish a car assembly plant,” the statement read.
“This would not only generate revenue but also create thousands of jobs for the youth. However, the administration’s short-sightedness and corruption have led to this opportunity being missed.”
The PRP insisted that the government must provide a detailed account of how the state’s funds have been utilized, vowing not to remain silent while the ruling party prioritizes personal interests over public welfare.
The party reiterated its commitment to ushering in a new era of transparency, accountability, and prosperity in Taraba State, adding that it would explore all legal means to ensure responsible governance.
