Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has added their latest Champions League trophy to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu museum.
Real Madrid beat Juventus 4-1 on Saturday, June 3 in the final of the Champions League to win their 12th Big Ear trophy.
On Wednesday, June 7, Perez had a photoshoot with Real Madrid impressive trophy cabinet which now has their latest Champions League trophy.
It was a brilliant season for Real Madrid as they won the La Liga and Champions League double, their first since 1958.
They also became the first club in the modern era to win the Champions League title back to back.
It puts Perez in a strong position as he seeks re-election as President of Real Madrid.
No candidate has stepped up to challenge Perez as Real Madrid announced on Thursday that they will hold a presidential election over the close season, provided somebody comes forward to challenge him.
Candidates have until June 18 to come forward before Electoral Board will make public the date and place for voting.
This is Perez’s third stint as Real Madrid President. The first one was between 2000 and 2006 before he returned for a second spell in 2009, succeeding Ramon Calderon.
He was unchallenged when Elections were announced in 2013.
