Zinadine Zidane is pushing for Real Madrid to sign Kylian Mbappe from Monaco after Los Blancos missed out on signing the exciting forward three years ago, with talk of an €80 million deal being arranged, according to AS.
The Spanish daily reckons that Mbappe, 18, who has just earned his first call-up to the France national team, was recommended to Real by Zidane in 2014 and even visited the Valdebebas training centre and met Cristiano Ronaldo before signing for Monaco instead.
Mbappe has made a massive impression this season, scoring 10 goals in 21 Ligue 1 appearances and finding the back of the net home and away against Manchester City in the Champions League, leading to the reigning European champions setting their sights on signing him.
