The crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Dekina, Kogi State, has been resolved following the submission of the final report by the five-man panel led by Usman Abuh, popularly known as Alapa.
The committee submitted its report to the party stakeholders, headed by Chief John Odawn JP, the state’s pioneer party chairman.
In their final resolution, the stakeholders endorsed the removal of Alhaji Ibrahim Husseini Ejini as the Divisional chairman, who was nominated to replace the late Sani Dr Hook. Ejini faced allegations of misappropriating funds meant for the completion of the party secretariat in Dekina, engaging in anti-party activities, extorting money from party aspirants, and receiving funds from other parties, including the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

During his interactions with the committee chairman and secretary, Ejini admitted to not being the sole beneficiary of the misappropriated funds, claiming that some ward chairmen were also involved.
He alleged that money meant for various wards was similarly misused.
Despite being asked to disclose the identities of other guilty ward chairmen, Ejini failed to do so, citing their reluctance to reveal their involvement.
In a related development, the Dekina PDP took further disciplinary action by expelling Hon Obaka Adofu, the Abocho ward Chairman; Hon Daniel Abimaje of Oduh 2; and suspending Hon. Enefola Benjamin, who had begun a civil servant job with Kogi State University.
The Abocho and Oduh Ward 2 were suspended for diverting party funds.
Ejini had previously been suspended indefinitely for allegedly misappropriating N19 million from the party’s account and issuing threats to members before his suspension.
