Reports suggests that Rihanna’s ‘Fenty Trainers’, launched online last week Friday might be grasping for success when compared to her Creepers, which was released late last year.
The trainers was designed to have three colours – black, white and red, and it is available to both men and women.
However, it hasn’t received enough patronage from the womenfolk. Though the black-and-red colorways are nearly sold out, the white is still available in almost every size.
The laceless shoes feature an oversized tongue, and the upper is made from Ariaprene, a neoprene that is designed to create a secure and breathable fit.
According to Foot Wear News, when the Creeper style was released in September, it sold out in three hours.
Puma’s CEO, Björn Gulden is however not too concerned about the low sales in the women’s line, he said, “Our co-operation with Rihanna and a strong product offering have increased the interest from both retailers and consumers,”
Puma also confirmed that it has signed on Kylie Jenner, who will appear in the brand’s spring ’16 ad campaign out next month.
