The Rivers State All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Assembly Screening Appeal Committee, chaired by Abdul Mahmud, has confirmed the disqualification of aspirants linked to Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
InfoStride News reports that 33 aspirants who participated in the screening exercise conducted on Saturday were cleared, while 65 others were disqualified.

The disqualified aspirants were identified as loyalists of the Rivers State governor.
Addressing journalists on Tuesday, Mahmud disclosed that the committee had so far received 19 appeals from some of the affected aspirants.
He added that the submission of appeals would end on Wednesday.
According to the committee, the final list of cleared aspirants will be released after the appeal process has been concluded.
