Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has credited divine intervention for his rise in politics, stating that God’s guidance and the support of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were instrumental in his political journey.
Speaking at the 2024 Port Harcourt Holy Ghost Rally of the Redeemed Christian Church of God at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Igwuruta Ali in Ikwerre Local Government Area, Governor Fubara expressed gratitude for the divine promotion he received through his party and its leaders.
In a statement signed by his Senior Special Adviser, Boniface Onyedi, Governor Fubara emphasized, “I was promoted by God first, through my party and the leaders. So, promotion comes from God and God alone.”
The Governor connected the theme of the rally to his personal story, highlighting the alignment between the theme and his journey to success in politics.
He pledged to dedicate his achievements to God through a special thanksgiving ceremony.
Governor Fubara extended his appreciation to the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, for the church’s support and prayers for Rivers State.
He urged continued prayers from the church for his administration’s success in fulfilling its governance objectives.
The Governor assured ongoing support for the church’s programs in the state, acknowledging the importance of prayers in achieving effective governance.
He concluded by emphasizing the significance of prayer in complementing the efforts of his administration to realize its goals for Rivers State.
