Manchester City will find it hard to keep Rodri if Real Madrid comes calling, Peter Reid has said. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
Highlighting Rodri’s current contract situation, Reid stated that he expects a club like Real Madrid to turn Rodri‘s head because he is a Spaniard.

Peter added that he expects more changes at the Etihad after Pep Guardiola’s departure.
His words, “Before the injury, I agree with you, cruciate is a bad injury – I had one before. Medical science now – knives and forks they used on me! He’s a quality player. There’s a new regime coming in. There’s noises that Real Madrid are interested.
Him being a Spanish lad, I think if Real Madrid come knocking, I think it’s going to be hard for Man City to keep him. But he’s a quality player and he’ll be back as good as ever, I’m convinced.
There’ll be changes, I think inevitably. Pep’s reign at Manchester City is there for all to see – outstanding. A new regime, I think it’s only natural that there will be changes. That’s part of football.
The way Sir Alex [Ferguson] went, changes it, at Manchester United for a long time – it happens. It’s how they manage it. There is still a lot of quality players at Manchester City, as we know. But definitely a new regime.
I think it’s fascinating. Obviously I’m focused on the World Cup, but next year, the Premiership, is going to be so interesting it’s untrue. Different managerial changes – not just at Man City. It’s going to be a fascinating season.”
WOW.
Real Madrid Club de Fútbol, commonly referred to as Real Madrid, is a Spanish professional football club based in Madrid. The club competes in La Liga, the top tier of Spanish football.
Real Madrid has maintained the white shirt for its home kit throughout the history of the club. There was, however, one season that the shirt and shorts were not both white. It was an initiative undertaken by Juan Padrós in honor of an English team Corinthian F.C., which he had met on one of his trips, one of the most famous teams at the time known for its elegance and sportsmanship.
It was under Florentino Pérez’s first presidency (2000–2006) that Real Madrid started its ambition of becoming the world’s richest professional football club. The club ceded part of its training grounds to the city of Madrid in 2001, and sold the rest to four corporations: Repsol YPF, Mutua Automovilística de Madrid, Sacyr Vallehermoso and OHL.
Hala Madrid is a magazine published quarterly for the Real Madrid club members and the Madridistas Fan Club card holders. The phrase Hala Madrid, meaning “Forward Madrid” or “Go Madrid”, is also the title of the club’s official anthem, which is often sung by the Madridistas (the club’s fans).
