England legend, Gary Lineker has come out to say that Rodri deserves to win the 2024 Ballon d’Or award. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he believes the Spaniard deserves it because he did not just win the EPL, he was the leader of the Spanish team that won Euros 2024.
Lineker added that young player of the year is definitely Lamine Yamal, and he can win that award for the next five years.
His words, “I think Rodri deserves it. Obviously, they didn’t win the Champions League at City but they did win the Premier League and then the Euros with Spain where he was very much their leader.
Young player of the year I’ve got a feeling will be Lamine Yamal. He could win that for the next five years!”
