Cristiano Ronaldo should consider a move to the MLS, Professor of Applied Sport Finance at UCFB, Dr Rob Wilson has said. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he believes the Portuguese icon is pretty enough to successfully launch a second career in Hollywood, so a strategic switch to California could be the perfect bridge to enhance his global superstardom after retirement.

He, however, added that Ronaldo is now so deeply entrenched in the Middle East that a standard transfer could be detrimental to his brand.
His words, “It would be different if Ronaldo could get into Hollywood. He’s certainly pretty enough and iconic global movie and entertainment stars earn plenty more than sports stars so that would be an interesting move.
I just think he’s so embedded in Saudi Arabia now and he would have to be really careful. If he tried to engineer that sort of move and it failed, he would lose his brand recognition in the Middle East because they’d see him as only being out for the money, trying to do it elsewhere.
If he wanted a short-term payday then yes a move to MLS could give him a boost but for his long-term brand growth he is likely to stay in Saudi Arabia.
Ronaldo is a smart guy so if he could make a move out to California, score a few goals for San Diego and then transition into starring in Hollywood blockbusters that would be a reason to leave Saudi Arabia for the States.”
WOW.
