Former Portugal defender Pepe has backed Cristiano Ronaldo to keep playing for many more years. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, the 40-year-old is still capable of breaking records and defying expectations, and he hopes fans will not have to face the day that Ronaldo retires anytime soon.
He added that Cristiano will be remembered for being a phenomenal footballer and a wonderful person.
His words, “When will he stop? No one really knows (smiles). Cristiano keeps breaking records and I’m really happy for him.
Beyond being a phenomenal player and an incredible person, he’s a friend, and I hope he can keep playing for many more years. I think it’ll be tough for us, the fans, when he decides to retire. It’ll be hard to turn on the TV and not see Cristiano’s name there.”
