Media personality Rufai Oseni has criticised Primate Elijah Ayodele over his call for President Bola Tinubu to stop the release of documents linked to an alleged FBI investigation.
Rufai questioned the basis of Ayodele’s appeal, arguing that Nigerians have a right to access information of public interest.

He said calls to prevent the release of such documents could raise concerns about transparency and accountability, particularly when the matter involves public figures.
Rufai urged Nigerians to allow relevant authorities to handle the issue based on facts and due process rather than speculation.
He also criticised attempts to discourage public discussion of matters that could help Nigerians understand issues surrounding political leaders.
The controversy follows Ayodele’s appeal to Tinubu amid renewed attention on documents reportedly linked to investigations by the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI.
The development comes as political tensions continue to rise ahead of the 2027 general elections, with supporters and critics of the Tinubu administration exchanging accusations over issues involving the President’s past.
