Arise Television Morning Show anchor, Rufai Oseni, has expressed sympathy for President Bola Tinubu following his speech at the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign rally in Kaduna State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Oseni described Tinubu’s address as one of the worst campaign speeches he had heard, blaming the President’s campaign team for allegedly failing to prepare him adequately for the event.

The broadcaster made the remarks on Monday during Arise Television’s Morning Show, where he reviewed the President’s performance at the rally.
According to Oseni, Tinubu’s speech lacked structure, coherence and a clear explanation of his administration’s policies, despite the need to convince Nigerians to support his bid for another term.
He argued that the President’s aides should have prepared a concise address highlighting the administration’s achievements and explaining its decisions to Nigerians.
“I think that was the worst campaign speech I’ve ever heard in my life by President Tinubu,” Oseni said.
He added that the President would have been better off not campaigning in Kaduna if the outcome was going to be such a poor presentation.
“I think it was best he should not have even campaigned in Kaduna, because that was a terrible one for the eyes and for the ears,” he said.
Oseni questioned why the members of Tinubu’s campaign council had not prepared a five-minute speech that would allow the President to outline his policies and defend his record in office.
He also faulted the campaign team for allowing Tinubu to deliver what he described as a disjointed address at the beginning of his re-election campaign.
“What is wrong with you guys? Is this how much you are so concerned about just collecting money from him?” the broadcaster asked.
The journalist further criticised the President’s remarks concerning the removal of the petrol subsidy and his attempt to attribute poverty and hunger in the country to the opposition.
Oseni argued that the President should have used the rally to explain the rationale behind his administration’s economic policies and demonstrate how they had addressed the challenges facing Nigerians.
He maintained that the responsibility for preparing the President for public engagements rested partly with his advisers and campaign officials, particularly at a time when he needed to defend his record before the electorate.
“You just allow a man like that to ad lib at his inaugural campaign speech after four years in office, where he needs to make a great defence, what did you guys do to him?” he said.
Oseni concluded by expressing sympathy for the President over the handling of the campaign event.
“I feel for President Tinubu this morning,” he added.
The remarks came as the APC commenced its campaign activities ahead of the 2027 general elections, with Tinubu seeking re-election amid ongoing public debate over his administration’s economic policies and performance.
