Liverpool had appealed the ban, but it will stay at three games as originally stated by the FA.
The Senegalese was sent off by referee Jon Moss for lifting his foot very high and clashing with City goalkeeper Ederson in Liverpool’s 5-0 defeat on Saturday.
The Brazilian goalkeeper went through eight minutes of treatment before he was taken off on a stretcher and wearing an oxygen mask. However, he returned to the City bench in the second half.
Mane was named the Premier League’s Player of the Month for August after scoring three times in Liverpool’s first three games but September has not started well.
