LEMONADE, which is littered with a dark theme of infidelity and betrayal, has been projected to sell in the region of 500,000 and 600,000 album equivalent units in its debut week, according to Hits Daily Double.
With a first-day sales projection of 200,000 copies, the album which became available for sale on iTunes store on Monday, April 25, is set to mark the singer’s sixth straight number 1 album on the prestigious chart.
It can be recalled that Bey’s last studio album, 2013’s self-titled ‘BEYONCE‘ broke iTunes record for most album sales on the platform by selling a total of 828,773 copies worldwide in three days.
Physical copies of LEMONADE are set to be released on May 6, while the album will continue to be on TIDAL exclusively for streaming.
