The Senate has announced that it would begin vetting President Bola Tinubu’s proposed 28 ministry nominations on Monday.
After the list of nominees was read in the Senate on Thursday, Senate spokesperson Sen. Adeyemi Adaramodu (APC-Ekiti) informed the media.
Adaramodu further disclosed that, despite the Senate often not meeting on Mondays, “we’ve suspended all our rules for them to commence the exercise next Monday” because of the significance of the national assignment.

He assured that Nigerians would not be let down by the Senate’s investigation into each nominee’s “character, personality, experiences, and background.”
The Federal Executive Council (FEC) that will be formed after the screening is widely viewed as the group most likely to revive Nigeria’s flagging economy.
It’s not going to be a shadow screening that you have a really strong resume because you don’t have the character to carry the resume; the list is here and they have until they come forward with their resume for consideration.
According to Infostride News, on Thursday during plenary, Senate President Godswill Akpabio read the list as it had been sent to the chamber by the administration.
Akpabio received the list from the president’s chief of staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.
