Senator Gbenga Daniel, representing Ogun East senatorial district, has called for President Bola Tinubu to speak on the state of the economy he inherited and the progress made since his emergence.
Daniel noted that Tinubu refrained from speaking due to his party’s past misdeeds.
Speaking during his tour of Ijebu Ode Local Government Area of Ogun State, Senator Daniel, a former governor of the state, acknowledged the hardship in the country, attributing it to the past government.

He urged Nigerians to persevere and cooperate with the present administration, emphasizing its commitment to a more prosperous nation.
While praising Tinubu’s efforts, Senator Daniel highlighted the president’s inability to speak on current realities due to his party allegiance.
He called on Nigerians to encourage the president, noting that he has made significant efforts in salvaging the country.
Senator Daniel said, “Our president Bola Ahmed Tinubu has done a lot. I wish he could talk now but he can’t talk because this is the same party he stood for, so he can’t, but from what I know we just have to praise his courage.
We know things are very difficult but we need to encourage Mr President, we urge our people to be patient, by the special grace of God everything will be alright.”
