The trial of Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti was stalled today following the absence of Chief Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun of the Yaba Magistrates’ court. Recall that the police charged the singer to court while accusing him of assaulting a police officer on the Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos State.
According to their findings, Seun was charged with slapping an inspector after driving dangerously on the bridge and intentionally blocking a moving police vehicle.

Kuti, his lawyer and the prosecution team were in court on Monday to seek a resolution to the matter but hearing could not happen due to Olatubosun’s absence.
