VAR Has Made The EPL A Laughing Stock – Stan Collymore

Stan CollymoreStan Collymore has blasted VAR after several controversial incidents in today’s EPL clash between Manchester City and Tottenham.

Stan believes VAR is very poor and a complete disgrace to English football.

VAR stopped play to intervene thrice in the first half at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, once to check a possible red card for a challenge by Raheem Sterling and twice for potential penalties for City.

According to Collymore, the technology has made the EPL a laughing stock and its protocols are shameful.

He added that he does not know to react to the shambles he watches every week.

His words, “A 2 minute 50 illustration of how to make a nation’s top division a laughing stock thanks to a piss poor thought out protocol.

A fcking omnishambles. Don’t know whether to laugh or cry.”

Ian Dake also wrote, “Almost a theatre of the absurd at Spurs.”

Henry Winter added, “It’s not football any more. VAR right to go back and inspect Aurier challenge on Aguero but why so long? Clearly an issue with angle of Aurier challenge. Gundogan pen saved. Lloris challenged Sterling for loose ball. Looked a pen. VAR rules no pen. VAR turning atmopsheres toxic.”
