The Governor of Kebbi and Chairman of the Palliative Committee on Subsidy reduction, Dr. Nasir Idris, informed Nigerians that measures were being taken to mitigate the consequences of the subsidy reduction.
Idris provided the reassurance during the committee’s meeting on Saturday in Abuja.
His spokesperson, Ahmed Idris, said this in a statement.
“The group discussed potential strategies to mitigate the effects of subsidy reduction, and Nigerians would soon begin to profit from this.
All Nigerians must just be patient, supportive, and cooperative in order for the committee to accomplish the goals and objectives that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu put forth when he established it, Idris added.
Governors Charles Soludo of Anambra State, Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, Hyacindu Alia of Benue State, and Uba Sani of Kaduna State were present during the meeting.
Additionally, all participants from the Civil Society Organizations and Organized Labor were there.
