Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has revealed why he has turned down several opportunities to leave the club over the past three years. He recently admitted that despite interest from Saudi Arabia and other countries, he still has unfinished business at Old Trafford.
Insisting that his main ambition remains to return MUFC to its former glory, Fernandes noted that the emotional satisfaction of success at Old Trafford outweighs any opportunity elsewhere.

Bruno added that the unfinished business that pushed him to stay, even after the club finished in their lowest-ever position in the Premier League.
His words, “It’s not a question of loyalty. I could have left two years ago, I could have left three years ago, I could have left last season, but I really like being here.
I think being successful at this club is something I can’t achieve at any other club. The joy and everything I will feel the day I achieve what I want here, I don’t think I will find anywhere else in the world.
I know how much the fans want this, I know how passionate they are. I know how much they are waiting for the club to come back again. I am in the same boat with them.
I want this ship, instead of standing still, to move forward and go as far as possible. Yes, I won the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup, but what this club, these fans and myself want, we have not yet achieved. Until my contract ends, I will try.
The club was in a difficult moment because we had just lost a European final and finished in the lowest place ever in the Premier League.
Six years ago, the club trusted me to come here and thought I could help them. At that time, my decision was based on the fact that I had not fulfilled my dreams here. I have not achieved everything I wanted. I have never hidden that I want to win the Premier League and the Champions League with this club.
I might make it, I might not. But until I have the opportunity or until I’m here to do it, I’ll try. Will it be difficult? Yes. There are big clubs in the league that have won the title for many years and have been consistently at the top, while we haven’t.”
WOW.
Manchester United Football Club, commonly referred to as Man United or simply United, is a professional football club based in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England. The club competes in the Premier League, the top division in the English football league system.
Nicknamed the Red Devils, they were founded as Newton Heath LYR Football Club in 1878, but changed their name to Manchester United in 1902. After a spell playing in Clayton, Manchester, the club moved to their current stadium, Old Trafford, in 1910.
Alex Ferguson and his assistant Archie Knox arrived from Aberdeen on the day of Atkinson’s dismissal, and guided the club to an 11th-place finish in the league. Despite a second-place finish in 1987–88, the club was back in 11th place the following season. Reportedly on the verge of being dismissed, Ferguson’s job was saved by victory over Crystal Palace in the 1990 FA Cup final.
The following season, Manchester United claimed their first UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup title. That triumph allowed the club to compete in the European Super Cup for the first time, where United beat European Cup holders Red Star Belgrade 1–0 at Old Trafford. The club appeared in two consecutive League Cup finals in 1991 and 1992 the left and the right, but he’s not got any sense of danger yet, and empties the midfield area too readily.
