Sunday Oliseh has spoken about his displeasure with the outcome of Friday’s 2016 African Nations Championship (Chan) between Nigeria and Tunisia.
The game finished 1-1 with Ahmed Akaichi cancelling out Chisom Chikatara’s opener in the Group C game.
Nigeria’s national team head coach, Oliseh however felt his players “deserved more” from the contest.
“(The 1-1 draw with Tunisia) was not a fair result because looking at the physiognomy of the game, we dominated everything; had more; we managed the game and dictated the tempo of the game.
“We had a feeling that we deserved more (from this game),” Oliseh told reporters after the game.
Nigeria will finish as group winners if they defeat Guinea in their final preliminary game in Gisenyi on January 26 and Oliseh believes the feat can be achieved.
“We expect our players to go out and try to force the result.
“I am very proud of my players the way they played today (on Friday).
“A Tunisian journalist was asking me if I had this team for like a year but I told him that was not the case.
“It’s flattering when you hear things like that,” he said.
