Supporters of Imo East Senator, Ezenwa Onyewuchi, under the banner of the ‘People’s Movement,’ have officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area (LGA).
The defection ceremony, which took place on Sunday, was led by Nze Chimenka Ndulaka, the Coordinator of the People’s Movement in Ezinihitte LGA.
Ndulaka, alongside hundreds of other leaders and members of the movement, formally joined the APC.

The event also saw key figures from the defection, including campaign council chieftain Chima Ibeh and other members who previously belonged to the Labour Party, receive APC emblems and membership cards.
The presentation was made by Dr. Charles Amuzie, the Deputy Leader of APC in Ezinihitte LGA.
In attendance were several APC leaders, including the member representing Ezinihitte State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, Henry Agbasonu, and the councillor for Okpofe/Ezeagbogu Ward 03, Chinedu Ekwueme.
During the ceremony, speakers lauded Ndulaka as a significant political figure not just in Mbaise, but beyond.
Ndulaka also emphasized that the event marked the official integration of Senator Onyewuchi’s supporters into the APC.
He highlighted the senator’s numerous achievements, particularly in skills training and empowerment initiatives, and reassured the APC leadership in Ezinihitte and the community that Onyewuchi is committed to further progress and development for the area.
