Rev. John Joseph Hayab, who serves as the Chairman of the Kaduna State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), has made a call for Nigerians to work together with the incoming government to build a more powerful nation.
The head of the CAN was responding to the decision made by the Supreme Court, which validated President Bola Tinubu’s candidature.
In a statement that he personally issued on Thursday, Hayab said, “Now that our highest court has ruled according to our laws, any unhealthy debate and character assassination amongst political parties and supporters of political office seekers should stop and give room for healing, restoration, and unity for development.”

Hayab’s comments were made in response to the fact that our highest court has ruled according to our laws.
“In the interest of maintaining peace and harmonious coexistence throughout the country, Nigerians should always respect and appreciate the country’s judicial system.”
He made the observation that no Nigerian should consent to having himself or herself used as a wedge to divide the nation on the basis of political disagreements.
In order for progress to be made in the country, Hayab asked all Nigerians to work together and back the one who has been confirmed by the Supreme Court.
“The citizens should come together in a spirit of love as they rally behind the new administration and hold it accountable for effective governance.”
