The youth wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has called on all political stakeholders in Enugu State to unite and prioritize the state’s development following the Supreme Court’s verdict affirming Governor Peter Mbah’s victory.
In a statement released to journalists on Sunday, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, the National President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, expressed the organization’s concern over the prolonged legal battle surrounding the Enugu gubernatorial election, which resulted in significant financial costs.
Nnabuike recalled that the Ohanaeze youths had previously urged the Labour Party governorship candidate, Barr Chijioke Edeoga, not to contest the election results after Governor Mbah’s victories at the Tribunal and the Appeal Court.

He emphasized the financial strain and distractions caused by prolonged litigation in Nigeria’s political landscape.
With Edeoga exhausting his legal options, the Ohanaeze youth wing now appeals to him to accept Governor Mbah’s offer of cooperation for the benefit of Enugu State.
Nnabuike stressed that unity and progress should be the focus, highlighting Governor Mbah’s previous invitations to opposition members to work together for the state’s advancement.
Addressing Governor Mbah directly, Nnabuike urged him to concentrate on delivering effective governance now that legal hurdles have been cleared.
He expressed confidence in the governor’s ability to meet the expectations of Enugu State citizens and deliver meaningful progress.
