The suspended chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, Mr. Adams, has declared that he remains the legitimate chairman of the party despite his recent suspension.
Mr. Adams, who was suspended by the State Working Committee (SWC) of the party on Tuesday, has dismissed the suspension as politically motivated and vowed to contest it.
His suspension, which was reportedly due to alleged anti-party activities, has been condemned by Adams as a ploy to further the interests of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency Bye-election slated for February.

The embattled chairman, speaking out against his suspension, accused certain members within the party of attempting to undermine democratic values and voiced his determination to resist their efforts.
“It’s clear what they are trying to do; their plans are to remove me so that they can execute their agenda for the bye-election, and we will not allow that,” Adams stated firmly.
The situation remains tense as the suspended chairman stands his ground amidst the growing rift within the Ondo State chapter of the PDP.
