The local branch of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state of Taraba has levelled accusations that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is plotting to undermine the integrity of the upcoming elections for local government.
The claim was made by the APC in a statement that was made accessible to journalists on Monday in Jalingo, which is the capital of the state.
In a statement that was issued by the APC state chairman, Barrister Ibrahim Tuktur El-Sudi, the party expressed its disappointment with the fact that some PDP officials are inciting Governor Agbu Kefas “to throw caution to the winds and write the results even before the votes are cast.”

“It is not hard to understand the state of despondency and disenchantment that exists within the Peoples Democratic Party in Taraba State at the moment,” the author writes. “[T]hese feelings are currently shared by the party that is in power there.”
“The party is now a haven for a disillusioned, angry, and disoriented mob of stakeholders who are completely uncertain about their future after contributing their efforts to the so-called victory of the party during the most recent election. They feel as though they have no control over their own destinies.”
Parts of the statement contained things like, “With this devastating and distressing situation, Tarabans are not sure of anything as they contend with the paralysing and harrowing hard times under Governor Kefas.”
