The Taraba Youths and Women Mobilization and Awareness Movement (TAYOWOMAM), in collaboration with the Taraba State Government, has condemned the illegal possession of weapons and drug abuse among youths in the state.
Speaking at a press briefing in Jalingo on Saturday, the group’s chairman, Victor M. Bulus, highlighted significant progress in raising awareness about the dangers of these activities.
Bulus noted that TAYOWOMAM has been actively engaging with youths in cultist hideouts, brothels, and other areas to educate them on the severe consequences of their actions.

He emphasized that their efforts aim to redirect the youth towards more positive and productive behaviors.
“These collective efforts have successfully encouraged many youths to make better choices, contributing to the safety and well-being of Taraba State,” he said.
Bulus praised the commitment and dedication of everyone involved, from team members to community leaders and grassroots activists, in making these achievements possible.
The group, he added, continues to work diligently to ensure that more youths are aware of the dangers associated with illegal activities and are guided towards making positive contributions to their communities.
