CHICAGO, IL–(Marketwired – Mar 5, 2014) – TechNexus, a venture collaborative, has opened its dedicated Media Center with the announcement of variety of programs already underway, a special services offer to help its startups tell their stories, and an invitation to companies to utilize its robust A/V resources.
The Media Center includes a private studio and edit suite, as well as conference facilities for up to 200 people onsite, remote locations of up to 25 additional participants, and recording and broadcast capabilities.
The Media Center is a collaborative project that partners TechNexus with Perfect Cut Productions, a technology-driven multimedia and creative shop founded 5 years ago by Lorne Golman and Evan Richardson while they were students at Indiana University, which is now a TechNexus resident startup. Projects already in production at the Media Center include:
- A commercial for a well-known CPG brand
- Regular live webinars for a major professional trade association
- Monthly podcasts for the Intangible Asset Finance Society
- Weekly episodes of “Illinois Business This Week,” a new show for PBS
“Our Media Center gives corporations and entrepreneurs working at our Incubator access to a variety of A/V capabilities at special reduced rates,” explained Jonathan Salem Baskin, a TechNexus Managing Director. “That means they can afford to get their messages out quicker, better, and more often. They have stories to tell, and we’re helping them do it.”
In addition, the Media Center is available for work with any Chicago business, especially those nearby in the Loop, on a wide range of activities including corporate, industrial, commercial and other creative projects, live meeting capture in TechNexus’ new, state-of-the-art conference space, and online collaboration. Interested businesses are encouraged to contact TechNexus at collaborate@technexus.com.
“We have a lot of programming in the works,” added Baskin, “including documentary work on startups, educational tools on innovation, and even a proprietary innovation network. So stay tuned.”
